This is a selection of single origin Ceylon Black tea which is the type most in demand throughout the world due to it’s natural rich colour and exquisite aroma. Black tea is made from the 2 leaves and bud of the plant Camellia sinensis going through a process of withering to remove the moisture to about half of the freshly plucked leaf, followed by a careful method of rolling.
The leaf is allowed to ferment for about half hour when the rich colour and aroma is brought out. The product is now “fired” to stop the fermentation process which converts the green leaf to the black tea final product. The leaf is graded into different sizes and shapes to provide you with a selection range to titillate your palate.
